About

My work is currently represented by Blue Raven Gallery in Rockland, Maine. I can be found on Instagram as kbdesrosiers_artist. I can also be contacted at kellyofunity@gmail.com.

The Land of the Pointed Firs is the name of my art fair business because it evokes the magic of Maine’s still wild environment. In the past two years I’ve been selling smaller paintings, giclee prints, calendars, and cards through art fairs in Maine, primarily as a means of gaining exposure. My fair schedule for 2026 includes Brunswick Outdoor Arts Festival August 15, 9-5, and Common Ground Country Fair in Unity, September 25, 26, 27th, Friday and Saturday 9-6 and Sunday 9-5.

Statement: For me, the layering and overlapping of patterns is a proxy for the interwoven ecological relationships that make up the natural world. Landscapes and seascapes are the logical framework within which I can explore patterns and build up textures. I seek to represent nature’s great complexity and age while at the same time not lose the magic of nature as I saw it as a child.

Bio: My life has not been a straight line. It has included much living in wild or rural places. I hold a BS in Animal&Veterinary Sciences, a BA in Studio Art, and an MFA in Fine Art from University of Wisconsin, Madison. I have had a career in Art and Science education spanning K-college. Presently I live on a small farm in Unity Maine and paint full time.
