A Day Well Spent 10x10

$400.00

Original Painting by Kelly B Desrosiers,  10”x10”,x1.25” ready to hang.

As an artist, what I enjoyed about painting this was the abstract nature of shapes, variation on colors, and textures. I could not have predicted what a nice emotional tone it has now that it is finished. I like the cool rock passages toward the bottom which get warmer and brighter toward the top where the rocks glow with the setting sun.

This piece is a mixed media artwork involving a multi-layered technique that I evolved over several years. A richly textured surface, with luminous color and visual depth results. For me, the overlapping patterns in layers of transparency and complexity represent the intertwined ecological relationships of this special place.

This painting has been created on a cradled wood panel with black painted edges, no additional framing required, with hanging wire attached. I handcraft each and every step of my process in my own modest home studio in Unity, Maine. Mine is a one-woman operation, start to finish!
