Fish Shack 14x11

$450.00

Original Painting by Kelly B Desrosiers,  14”x11”,x1.25” ready to hang.

This painting features the ubiquitous fish shack found everywhere on the Maine coast. I enjoyed playing with light and shadow, form and reflection, and of course overlapping patterns while painting this piece.

This piece is a mixed media artwork involving a multi-layered technique that I evolved over several years. A richly textured surface, with luminous color and visual depth results. For me, the overlapping patterns in layers of transparency and complexity represent the intertwined ecological relationships of this special place.

This painting has been created on a cradled wood panel with black painted edges, no additional framing required, with hanging wire attached. I handcraft each and every step of my process in my own modest home studio in Unity, Maine. Mine is a one-woman operation, start to finish!
