18”x24” painting on panel
'Interlaced Shore', 18"x24", reveals the highly indented and pocketed shoreline of the coast of Maine. Foreground details include signs of flora and fauna, parts of broken lobster trap, and the stylized shapes and patterns of breaking waves and swirling water. The distant sea horizon features a far island and tiny sailboat. This painting is created with acrylic paint and artist designed, carved, and printed collage papers on a cradled birch panel. It is deeply layered and highly textured.
