Tumbledown Cliffs 12x24

$550.00

Original Painting by Kelly B Desrosiers,  12”x24”x1.25”, ready to hang.

This piece defies logic, but all this is present: rocky cliffs, sea, sky. I am less interested in optical accuracy than I am in emotional fidelity: does the painting look like how I feel when I am there? Yes.

This piece is a mixed media artwork involving a multi-layered technique that I evolved over several years. A richly textured surface, with luminous color and visual depth results. For me, the overlapping patterns in layers of transparency and complexity represent the intertwined ecological relationships of this special place.

This painting has been created on a cradled wood panel with black painted edges, no additional framing required, with hanging wire attached. I handcraft each and every step of my process in my own modest home studio in Unity, Maine. Mine is a one-woman operation, start to finish!
