The Gorge 10x10

$400.00

Original Painting by Kelly B Desrosiers,  10”x10”x1.25”, ready to hang.

I love to hike along the cliffs of Quoddy Head where I can look downward at the gorges between cliffs. The seas surge rhythmically in and out of each gorge, changing color and direction, while I remain safely perched above like a bird!

This piece is a mixed media artwork involving a multi-layered technique that I evolved over several years. A richly textured surface, with luminous color and visual depth results. For me, the overlapping patterns in layers of transparency and complexity represent the intertwined ecological relationships of this special place.

This painting has been created on a cradled wood panel with black painted edges, no additional framing required, with hanging wire attached. I handcraft each and every step of my process in my own modest home studio in Unity, Maine. Mine is a one-woman operation, start to finish!
